This ride was completed on 31 August 2020

32.66 mile Completed in 3 hrs 4 mins Elevation 1457 ft

Thankfully no incidents this week. I fuelled up on Overnight Oats so I didn’t have a sugar crash like recent rides. Was a pleasant day with light wind.

Lots of PB’s so very happy with this ride out today

Dog image shopping bag

I really enjoyed experimenting with this project of converting an original photo into an SVG then cutting HTV with my Cricuit Maker, then ironing it onto a Shopping Bag.

This is quite tricky when first starting out but with a lot of practice it is so worthwhile.

Firstly you have to remove the background with remove.bg website or rather that is the site I use, then download the image to your laptop. After that you need to upload the saved image to picsvg.com, or another conversion site. This is where the fun starts fiddling with the settings until the image is as perfect as you’d like. You then download the SVG to your computer and open Circuit Design Space and upload the SVG to there then Save.

After saving open a new project sheet, insert your uploaded SVG image into project, click weld which will place all items on mat exactly as the same as image. Click continue, place HTV onto mat and insert into Cricuit Maker. Choose the type of HTV you are using from the materials menu. Remember with HTV to mirror image. Press the flashing ‘C’ on Cricuit Maker and away you go.

Next you need to weed out the HTV. Once all that is done place it onto bag or maybe a garment, I always cover with teflon or greaseproof paper prior to ironing.  I use my household iron.

It is so satisfying to complete a project like this which was gratefully received by the recipient

Please note:- as a beginner this explanation may not be completely accurate but i’ve tried and think it gives you the gist
